The press house in the Gaza strip organized a photo gallery Tuesday titled "incomplete reconstruction". The goal is to shed light on the suffering of thousands of Palestinians who were displaced from their homes during the last Israeli aggression on the besieged territory in 2014. The exhibition included a collection of videos and new pictures of the buildings and the areas that were severely damaged by Israel during the aggression, many of which have yet to be rebuilt. An Israeli truth movement, "Breaking the Silence" has posted new photos depicting abuse carried out by soldiers during the Gaza war two years ago. The Israeli Defence Force condemned the group for publishing the pictures on Facebook instead of turning to the Militrary Police. Meanwhile, Two Israeli soldiers are awaiting sentencing after being convicted of using a Palestinian child as a human shield. The founder of "Breaking the Silence", Yehuda Shaul, says the army is using the two as scapegoats, to falsely show civilian human rights are upheld.
Multi-award-winning producer and director John McColgan recently travelled to the West Bank and Gaza with Trócaire to document the lives of people living a daily reality of military occupation and economic blockade. McColgan is exhibiting a collection of his images from the trip at the Royal Hibernian Academy (RHA), 15 Ely Place, Dublin 2, from Friday 14th - Tuesday 18th October 2016. The exhibition features striking images of Palestinian communities whose homes have been demolished, whose land has been seized and whose families have endured almost 50 years of military occupation. In Gaza, McColgan photographed families whose children were killed during the 2014 Israeli invasion. The exhibition is open to the public between October 14th and 18th and admission is free of charge.

The rapid-fire rocket exchange between Israel and Hamas on Wednesday evening was so bright it could be seen from space. German astronaut Alexander Gerst tweeted two images on Wednesday that he took from more than 200 miles above the Earth, as the International Space Station was flying over Israel and Gaza. The rocket fire and explosions crisscrossing between the two areas appear to be visible in the photos. http://mashable.com/2014/07/23/israel-gaza-rocket-astronaut-space/ http://www.wochit.com
