On July 8, 2014, Israel launched Operation Protective Edge, aimed at stopping alleged rocket fire from Gaza into the occupied territories. One of the most densely populated neighbourhoods in the Gaza Strip, Shujayea, was claimed by Israel to be the site of Hamas 'terror tunnels'. The attack started late on July 19, initiating 24 hours of sustained air bombardment and artillery fire. An American military officer talking to Al Jazeera said 11 Israeli artillery battalions fired around 7,000 shells into Shujayea over that 24-hour period, in which at least 65 Palestinians were killed and 288 wounded. One paramedic reported over 200 calls for help at the peak of demand, one from virtually every house on targeted streets. The emergency services responded to every callout with scant regard fo...
http://iris.org.il - Part of the Hamas warfare is spreading lies, including (but not limited to) publishing fake photos. The purpose of this video is to help Israelis find the original photos and prove they are not from Gaza. - click the "SHOW MORE" link for notes and updates. Updates: 1. I did not post this for the purpose of political debates. I am not interested in debates - others do it better than me. I'm just here to help uncover the truth about these photos. That's it. So I will not be responding to such comments. 2. 2014 update: you can now right click on an image and click on 'Search Google For This Image' 3. 2015 update: in the previous Israel/Gaza war children in Gaza did die. That is very unfortunate, and I'll be the first one to say that. However, that does not cha...
The press house in the Gaza strip organized a photo gallery Tuesday titled "incomplete reconstruction". The goal is to shed light on the suffering of thousands of Palestinians who were displaced from their homes during the last Israeli aggression on the besieged territory in 2014. The exhibition included a collection of videos and new pictures of the buildings and the areas that were severely damaged by Israel during the aggression, many of which have yet to be rebuilt. Our correspondent Noor Harazeen, http://multimedia.telesurtv.net/v/photo-gallery-highlights-lack-of-reconstruction-in-gaza/
Multi-award-winning producer and director John McColgan recently travelled to the West Bank and Gaza with Trócaire to document the lives of people living a daily reality of military occupation and economic blockade. McColgan is exhibiting a collection of his images from the trip at the Royal Hibernian Academy (RHA), 15 Ely Place, Dublin 2, from Friday 14th - Tuesday 18th October 2016. The exhibition features striking images of Palestinian communities whose homes have been demolished, whose land has been seized and whose families have endured almost 50 years of military occupation. In Gaza, McColgan photographed families whose children were killed during the 2014 Israeli invasion. The exhibition is open to the public between October 14th and 18th and admission is free of charge.
